Evolve Talks

EVOLVE Talks

Inspired by TEDx, EVOLVE Talks allows you the chance to deliver a presentation on your own experience abroad! Presentations must be 10-12 minutes in length. Consider the following questions for your presentation topic:

  • How did your international experience reshape your long-held beliefs or sense of self?
  • How did your time abroad (student life, local culture and history, in the classroom, in the community) shock, delight, awe, challenge, or change you?
  • If you did research abroad, what was it about? How did understanding the local culture, language, or history influence your research or your academic interests?

If this sounds like something you’d like to do, make sure to let us know when you register! There will be a spot for you to complete a form with information regarding your proposed topic.

Proposals must be submitted by Friday, October 12th for review and approval. A member of the EVOLVE committee will then reach out to you by Monday, October 15th whether or not your proposal has been accepted for presentation at the conference. Selected presenters will receive resources and mentoring from their campus’ study abroad office in preparation for their presentation.

We can’t wait to hear your story!!
